OSA Assessment Counseling Services also offersassessments for DWI offenders pre- and post-trial, court-ordered substance abuse assessments for non-DWI offenders, and initial and follow-up Department of Transportation and Substance Abuse Professional evaluations. Community members canattend Alcohol Drug Education Traffic School (ADETS) through OSA Assessment Counseling Services. Typically, someone who is a first-time DWI offender and is deemed not at risk for substance abuse handicap will be encouraged to attendADETS,an early form of substance abuse intervention. Students will learn about mood-altering drugs and develop a plan that facilitates living a happy and healthy life. Early intervention is key for the treatment and management of substance abusedisorders.
